LU-CIX ASBL, operating the Luxembourg Internet Exchange Nod, is welcoming a new connected member, HOTCITY S.A.
Established in 2009, HOTCITY S.A. has grown steadily from a pioneer to the leading specialist in the deployment of public outdoor and indoor Wi-Fi networks in Luxembourg.
Joining LU-CIX represents an important strategic decision for HOTCITY, as all its services will benefit from a higher quality. Being locally connected and using less to no foreign Internet infrastructures will allow HOTCITY to provide faster and more secure services to the users of all the services the company provides, which includes besides the Internet access, mobile applications also known as “cityapps” and other tailormade webservices.
Frédérique Ulrich, Head of Business Development & Marketing at LU-CIX ASBL, explains: “HOTCITY is an essential actor in the development of Luxembourg as a digital and connected hub in Europe. We share the same goals and it was the logical follow-up for them to join our infrastructure and community.”
Claude Demuth, Chairman of LU-CIX ASBL, shares his enthusiasm about this new partnership: “We’re thrilled to keep connecting Luxembourgish companies such as HOTCITY, that provide connectivity services to the locals and tourists. Such services need to have their traffic secure and kept on the territory.”
Frank Dhur, HOTCITY S.A.’s Managing Director, also shares his excitement about joining LUCIX ASBL: “We are very happy to join LU-CIX. As a member we will be able to provide our clients a service completely “Made in Luxembourg”. We very much look forward to the energy and insights the partnership with LU-CIX will bring to us.”
