The PeeringDB training session took place in October!
This free programme, initially planned for June, was rescheduled to October 10, 2025. This event, held by LU-CIX, was presented by Mr. Arnold NIPPER, Chief Technology Evangelist @ DE-CIX and member of the “Outreach Committee and “Product Committee” of PeeringDB.
PeeringDB facilitates the interconnection of Internet networks globally, with user-maintained information. It is the single place to look up network information related to peering and interconnection.
PeeringDB helps answer questions like: Which networks share a facility with me? Who is connected to a certain Internet Exchange? I have lots of traffic with that AS, where could I create an interconnection with that network?
This workshop explained the basics, walked participants through creating their entries, looking up data, and generally showed the usefulness of PeeringDB.
It was open to professionals of all levels, whether they had worked with PeeringDB before or were complete novices.
